We are arranging a trip to Caen in June of 2018. Prices from £90* This page will be the page where all up to date information on this trip as the planning develops will be kept. The flyer can be downloaded here in Word format.

Late on Friday June 22nd 2018, the Caen-Portsmouth Friendship Committee will leave Portsmouth via Brittany Ferries to spend the day in the Caen area of Normandy with a coach tour, returning early on Sunday June 24th. French speakers will be available to help throughout the trip. The tour includes as a minimum: return trip via Brittany Ferries with reclining seat, breakfast in Ouistreham, a visit to Pegasus Bridge, Caen (Portsmouth’s Twin Town) including its castle, a chance to explore and shop before dinner in a restaurant and finally a visit to Normandy Wines in Ouistreham, to stock up before we leave. Other activities will be added to the itinerary in the future.
French speakers will be available to help during the entire trip, so you do not need to worry if you cannot speak French.
A more detailed itinerary will soon be added here. The successful running of the trip is dependent on us reaching the required minimum number of participants.
*£90 includes the above mentioned items and is based on a minimum group of 20. The minimum price may be reduced if the group grows to 30+.
Extra options: entry fees to any added venues etc €15 will cover these if you wish to visit.
Cabins can be arranged on the ferry for additional costs. The cheapest price would be No travel insurance included you may wish to organise this for yourselves. You will require a passport valid for travel in the EU (all UK and EU passports/id cards are) and a EHIC card is recommended, these are freely available from the NHS. This trip is arranged in association with Le Village des Sens in Calvados.
