Intern opportunity in Caen, France for 1 month in August 2018 We have been asked to help in seeking a suitable young person (aged 18 to 25) for an opportunity to work in Portsmouth's Twinned City of Caen this summer. Generally this post is to give guided tours in English to tourists at the Abbaye aux Hommes in Caen city centre (pictured below) Download here the details, which give an explanation of what is involved. The University of Portsmouth student we sent last summer has provided us with a detailed report of his experiences on this blog post. The Caen City Council internship would be for the period 1st to 31st August, at a salary of 1100 euros, with accommodation provided at the University Halls of Residence. Brittany Ferries normally contribute towards the travel costs. If you know of any suitable candidates with more than a passing ability to communicate in French, both orally and written, could you please ask them to email us their CV and covering letter (both to be written in French) by June 29th or if at all possible before this date - our original intern has unfortunately fallen ill and can no longer go. We must fill it by July 1st.
