Friday January 26th 2018.
Over 70 people came and supported our quiz night fundraiser in the Lord Mayor's Banqueting Hall in Portsmouth's Guildhall.
With a quiz written by myself and one other committee member, we challenged even some of Portsmouth's master quizzers.
Ticket sales and raffle tickets after paying all expenses due, will have raised us over £650 to keep on promoting Portsmouth in Caen, Portsmouth and beyond.
Huge thanks must go to all those businesses in Portsmouth that supported us in donating raffle prizes as well as to the Conseil Municipal de Caen for their generous donations of photo books and history books. A list of all our sponsors is on our homepage and on this news blog page
Massive 'Thank Yous' to the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Ken Ellcome for giving us the use of his banqueting hall and hosting us on the evening. To the Deputy Lord Mayor of Portsmouth Lee Mason for going shopping with me and preparing the massive buffet which more than catered for all those present.
To the Angmering-Ouistreham Twinning Association for coming along and supporting us. To the City councillors from the three major political parties, to Stephen Morgan MP who managed to come along and support us after attending other previous engagements in the city and to Jean Barrow, Ann Brazier & Sue Hopgood of the Friendship Committee for all their help in administering and organising the evening.
